Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees governs London City Mission and establishes the overall strategy and policy.

They advise and support Chief Executive Graham Miller in implementing the vision, determine matters of principle, and deal with budgeting and other financial matters.

Richard Montgomery

Chairman

Richard Montgomery joined the board in 2018 and worked for more than thirty years in senior positions in the oil industry. He is a former Managing Director of the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity, is a trustee of CPAS and the Langley Trust and has also chaired a grant making charity that supports the poor and vulnerable. His wife works/volunteers for their church in Twickenham where they live and worship, and they have three adult sons who are sometimes around. Richard is a keen cyclist and some would say also spends too much time watching it on television.

Rebekah Brown

Trustee

Rebekah is a Ministry Support Worker at East London Tabernacle, where she works alongside her husband and lead pastor, Raymond. She has a background in oncology nursing, overseas mission in South Africa, and many years of pastoral ministry, including training women to handle God’s Word. Rebekah is mum to four grown-up children and is deeply committed to equipping the local church to reach diverse communities across London.

Richard Bulmer

Trustee

Richard joined the Board in 2015, and he serves on the Finance and Property sub-committees. He is a retired actuary.

Richard is married to Kay, and they have one grown-up son. They live in Ashtead, Surrey, are members at King's Church Chessington and enjoy walking in the beautiful Surrey countryside.

Bryan Duncan

Trustee

Bryan is one of our more recent trustees, appointed at the beginning of 2018. He has a background in real estate and business leadership. He also has experience of charity boards, and serves as an elder of the Tron Church in Glasgow - where he and his wife, Kate attend. They have two married daughters, living in Kent and east London respectively, and two granddaughters.

Anne Hudson

Trustee

Anne is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and has over 30 years’ experience in Human Resources, People and Organisational Development, she graduated om 2019 with an MSc in People and Organisational Development. Much of her career has been in Education and the Public Sector and she is currently Director of HR for an education foundation, with both independent and academy schools. She is a qualified coach and undertakes independent HR and people consultancy through GA Partnership. Anne and her husband Graham, worship at St Peter’s Church in Farnborough in Hampshire. They have two adult sons, who are both married, and three lively grandchildren. Anne enjoys gardening, walking and reading in her spare time.

Graham Miller

Chief Executive

Graham, our Chief Executive, joined the Mission in 2014 after close to a decade in China as a missionary. His background is as Finance Manager for two large corporations and as an International Student Worker for Dundonald. He attends St Andrew’s Anglican Church, Chelsea with his wife Alison and their two young children.

Tim Moger

Trustee

Tim is Chief Agility Officer at Christians Against Poverty, leading the charity to adapt and change using agile principles and technology.  He brings a wealth of experience with over 20 years working in technology leadership across the retail and charity sectors. Outside work Tim is a husband and dad to two teenage boys and is an elder at North Evington Free Church in Leicester.

Ian Nash

Trustee

Ian is privileged to have served as a trustee for many years; he, has a background as a senior Company Secretary in the financial services sector. He's served on many boards and committees in the private and public sectors, including as Chair and Deputy Chair, he has been a co-leader of a Church plant and previously served as a Church Warden for several years, and has led small groups for many years. He attends St Nicholas church, Sevenoaks with his wife, Hilary. They have five grown-up children and 15 grandchildren.

Nigel Parrington

Trustee

Shaped by his father’s example as an LCM missionary during the slum‑clearance era of the 1960s, Nigel devoted over 44 years to working in social housing, retiring in 2019 as Chief Executive of the Salvation Army Housing Association.

He joined the LCM Board in 2016 and serves on the Property Committee.

Nigel is also a Trustee of Hope Church Sevenoaks and Ridley Community Church in Forest Gate, East London.

He is married to Denise and has two daughters, a son, one granddaughter, and three energetic dogs that help keep him active.

Marcia Shields

Trustee

Marcia joined the board in 2015. She is a retired family lawyer who specialised in representing children, parents and other family members in court proceedings where the local authority had concerns that children had been subjected to neglect or abuse.

As a result of her work, she developed an interest in Christian rehabilitation programmes and ministries to the marginalised.

She worked as a Chaplaincy volunteer for 17 years. Initially at HMP Holloway, and then at HMP Pentonville.

She has also been involved with Teen Challenge, nationally and internationally, and has over 25 years' experience working amongst those struggling with drug and alcohol addictions.

Marcia lives in east London and attends Shoreline Calvary North London. She has two grown-up children and two grandchildren.

George Stylianides

Trustee

George is the Chief Operating Officer of Datafab AGX Ltd., specialising in compliance and remediation for retail financial institutions. He is Chair of the Board Risk and Compliance Committee at Reliance Bank and also serves as a member of the Audit & Risk Committee of the Church Commissioners for England. George is part of the church family at St John’s Blackheath; and a member of the PCC. He is passionate about using his professional expertise to serve the vulnerable and advance gospel work.
