Anna-Marie Greene

Anna-Marie’s journey to faith has been shaped by both hardship and hope. Although she was raised in a Christian home, painful experiences of abuse led her to turn away from God. As she struggled with depression throughout her life, she began searching for meaning, comfort and control through New Age spirituality in her twenties.

Reflecting on that time, Anna-Marie says:

"Though my experiences were real, something was missing", Anna-Marie explains. "In a moment of fear, I cried out 'Jesus!'. His presence flooded my room and in an instant, I knew He was real, and that His Word was true. My desires changed overnight and I couldn’t help but tell everyone about Jesus!".

A year and a half after coming to faith, Anna-Marie joined LCM's communications team. Sensing God's call to a more direct ministry role, she stepped onto the mission field, eager to share the hope she has found in Christ.

“I long for people to see God clearly, to know just how good He is. My heart’s desire is to see people freed from the shackles of sin and deception, and walking in newness of life. Nothing brings me more joy.”

Anna-Marie serves within the Wandsworth and Lambeth team, with a particular focus on reaching children, young people and schools with the gospel.

Across London, many children and teenagers are growing up with little or no connection to a local church. We estimate just one in twenty children attends church, and around half don’t even have a Christian friend to invite them to church activities. At the same time, increasing numbers of young people are facing mental health challenges, with many not knowing the hope that can be found in Jesus.

Driven by a passion to see the next generation transformed by the gospel, Anna-Marie shares this vision for her area:

"My vision for Lambeth and Wandsworth is for its children and young people to boldly shine the light of Jesus in what feels like a particularly dark generation. Love hopes all things.”

Alongside her evangelistic ministry, Anna-Marie enjoys sharing insights from God's Word through her online platforms. In her free time, she loves spending time in nature and has a special love for animals of every kind.
