Vijay grew up in a Hindu family and was a devout follower. Despite his devotion, he describes living a peaceless and fearful life, at times feeling worthless. But then Vijay met Jesus who changed his life and delivered him from all his fears, giving him true peace, purpose, and meaning in life.
Before joining LCM, Vijay served in different parts of India and Nepal, where he shared the life changing message of Jesus with many, and helped equip churches for mission.
“My heart is to share Jesus with everyone especially with those who are fearful, restless, and feel unworthy so they too can have the peace and meaning I have found in Him.”
Having first read about LCM during an internet search in 2021, the Lord brought LCM back to Vijay’s mind in 2024. Soon after this, he was connected with the Hounslow team and quickly began serving with them. In Hounslow and Harrow, Vijay is involved in book table ministry, community outreach visits, and training missional teams—helping churches step out in faith and connect with their communities. The boroughs of Hounslow and Harrow are vibrant and home to people from a wide range of religious and cultural backgrounds. Many residents quietly struggle with loneliness, fear, and uncertainty about the future. There is a real need for connection and love—for people who will listen, care, and walk alongside others in everyday life. Vijay believes this is a powerful opportunity for the Church to be a place of welcome, peace, and good news. Through community outreach, he helps churches step out in faith and engage meaningfully with their local communities.
“I want to see the churches in Hounslow and Harrow equipped and encouraged to reach the communities with the love of Jesus.”
Vijay loves cricket – it has been a big part of his life since childhood. He also enjoys meeting new people and hearing their stories – sometimes simply sitting with someone over a cup of tea and just listening.
