Selam Abraha

Missionary in Tower Hamlets

"Most of the residents are Muslims, and we would like to share the hope of Christ with them"

Selam works in Tower Hamlets as a missionary and would like to see a move of God amongst the diaspora communities that are largely made up of people who identify with another part of the world.

Tower Hamlets is the most deprived borough in London, and many people living in this area struggle with poverty, unemployment, and pay inequality. Selam equips diaspora churches to sensitively share the gospel message of God’s grace within their local communities. She also works with refugees living in local government accommodations, helping them to find a church family and learn the hope of the gospel.

She says, ‘The need in this area is great. Most of the residents are Muslim, and it's our vision to share the hope of Christ with them.’
