Junior was baptised on 6th December 2009 after an unexpected encounter with God.
He was driving his father to Gatwick airport, and his dad gave him a specific Psalm to read. The following day, traveling to work on the London underground, he sat next to a passenger who was reading the Bible with the page turned to the exact same Psalm his father had told him to read the day before - he knew God was calling him. In 2021, and after 4 years of persistent prayer asking the Lord to use him in full-time ministry, God opened the door to LCM.
“God’s grace has taken me through many storms in life, and I have learnt to trust him every step of the way. His everlasting love compels me to share my faith - Jesus is the treasure of my heart and his mission has become my purpose for living.”
Junior now works as a Mission Associate in Lewisham alongside local churches, seeking to equip them to reach Muslims and people from other faiths with the love of God and the gospel of Jesus.
Half of those living in Lewisham are from non-British ethnic groups with many following non-Christian religions or no religion – higher than the national average. There are many Hindu temples, mosques and Sikh gurdwaras to be seen alongside churches.
Junior has a passion to reach those from other faiths, having grown up in a largely Muslim area in London.
“I am excited, passionate and humbled to specialise in LCM’s Islam and Other Religions ministry. With the emergence of New Age, New Thought and other worldviews, I am committed to preaching the only truth that saves - Jesus. My prayer is for the people of Lewisham to come to know him and walk in victory and resurrection power!”
Junior loves teaching the word of God in home groups, and to relax he enjoys running and cooking (and eating of course!)
