Johanna worked as the Executive Assistant to the Director of Ministries here at London City Mission for one year before making the transition to work as a full time missionary in the borough of Haringey.
“I was radically born again following a period of severe illness and nurtured a strong zeal for evangelism from very early on in my walk with Christ. I had a burning desire to tell everyone I could about the Lord Jesus, so I began doing regular prayer-walking in my local area. This quickly progressed to door-knocking on council estates to share my faith, and since then I have recently started regular open-air street evangelism.”
Johanna works as part of the team in Haringey, partnering with churches in mission, equipping them to lovingly reach out to people living on council estates.
“Haringey has been classified as among one of the most deprived boroughs in the country. My vision is to see local churches passionately sharing their faith with those in the community, who may have never heard the Gospel.”
“By coming alongside churches to encourage and equip local congregations, my hope is that people will be saved, and the love of Jesus Christ would birth transformation in the borough and help meet the practical and spiritual needs of many.”
Johanna lives in North London and enjoys travelling and exploring different countries and cultures.
