Urban Mission Conference - Migration

Explore migration through Scripture - and how the Church can respond with wisdom and grace.

On 16 May, join us for a day dedicated to one of the most important and emotionally charged issues shaping our world today: migration. This conference is designed to help you explore your own views, understand what Scripture says, and discover practical ways to share the gospel with people from cultures and backgrounds different from your own.

Whether you feel confident, cautious, conflicted, or simply overwhelmed by the noise of public debate, this day is for you.

Why You Should Join This Conference

Migration is reshaping conversations across the UK, influencing how Christians think about culture, identity, and community. These discussions can feel complex and personal - and many believers are unsure how to respond.

Yet the Bible offers a clear and compelling vision of God working through the movement of people and calling His Church to welcome the nations with compassion and confidence. For many Christians, the challenge is knowing where to start.

The Urban Mission Conference provides a safe, thoughtful, prayerful space to explore a biblical view of migration - without political pressure or assumptions. Wherever you’re starting from, you are welcome.

What You’ll Learn

  • A biblical view of migration Explore how Scripture - from Abraham and Ruth to Jesus and the early Church - shows God working through the movement of people.
  • How to navigate a complex cultural moment Think biblically and prayerfully about the tensions surrounding migration, responding with wisdom, grace, and compassion.
  • Practical ways to connect with and care for migrants Discover simple, relational steps your church can take to welcome newcomers, build cross‑cultural relationships, and share the gospel clearly.

You’ll leave with practical, actionable steps your church can take - whatever its size or context - to connect with, care for, and share the hope of Jesus with the people God has brought to your community.
