SHARE REAL HOPE WITH YOUNG PEOPLE THIS EASTER

We support and train churches to go into local schools, to share the story of Zac, who was tragically stabbed to death at the age of just 15. Children hear from Zac’s mother, Sarah, and sister, Tayo, and the impact of their Christian faith in their journey to forgiving the boys who killed Zac.

As part of the day, children are encouraged to explore what it means to forgive and how forgiveness can resolve anger towards others before it spirals out of control.

Local churches run the interactive one day sessions in schools and challenge young people to forgive those who have hurt them. The children are encouraged to reflect, discuss, and embrace forgiveness as a means to resolve conflicts and prevent violence. The response is overwhelming and regularly moves teachers to tears.

Life exhibition is an amazing, interactive experience for schools hosted in local churches alongside London City Mission and partner charity Counties. As they move through the exhibition, the children hear about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Up to 600 children from different religious backgrounds walk through the doors of the exhibition in one week.

For many children, it’s their first time stepping inside a church or even meeting a Christian. They’re asked at the end who they think Jesus is and often more than half of the children say he’s the son of God!

This gives young people from London the opportunity to leave the city for a week – and the challenges that come with it – and encounter Jesus. Many come from difficult situations at home. Some have been the victims of violence. It involves many of the same activities as other camps – from daily Bible studies to abseiling and water balloon fights. But it’s in a more culturally familiar environment – from the food to issues tackled in the Bible talks.
