There are approximately 2.04 million young people under 18 in London , 95% of them don’t go to church. But almost all the young people attend one of the 3,000 schools in London.
As discussed in parliament lately, young people in London are growing up in a world filled with pressure, confusion, and anxiety. Depression, self-harm, and hopelessness are rising at an alarming rate. Too many young people feel unseen, lost, and without purpose.
But there is hope. Real hope. Living hope. His name is Jesus.
LCM missionary, Gareth’s life was as a teenager was like most teenagers – living a life of violence with no hope – until a group of Christians shared Jesus with him. And that is why he is passionate about sharing Jesus with young lives.
Today, Gareth and his team now work alongside local churches to bring the hope Christ to schools and young lives across the city. This Easter, can you help share Jesus with young lives in London?
This Easter, for every £1 you donate, generous donors will match doubling your impact for young people in London who do not know Jesus.
Young people in London urgently need to hear the word of God and know the hope that Jesus brings.
The good news is that YOU can reach London’s next generation with the gospel by supporting our key projects with young people.
"We have seen God impact so many young lives as they close their eyes during the sessions, then raise their hands to indicate that they want to forgive someone" - Tayo O'Shea, Operation Forgiveness
With your help, up to school 600 children from different religious backgrounds will hear about Jesus through LIFE Exhibition, run in partnership with Counties. You can help combat knife crime through Operation Forgiveness that teaches about forgiveness in London schools. And through LiNKUPs, you can help young people encounter Jesus through outdoor activities and Bible studies.
Your gift will help LCM missionaries work with more schools and churches, sharing Jesus with even more children and young people.
