HEALTH AND SAFETY
Managing Health and Safety in Church Partnerships and Premises Hire
LCM recognises the value of working in partnership with other organisations, but also recognise that this adds complexity to the health and safety responsibilities and arrangements.
Partnerships are formal arrangements where LCM and other organisation(s) are working together to deliver a service and are outlined in a formal partnership agreement.
Arrangements for health and safety when involved in partnerships with other organisations will be reviewed annually as part of the review of the health and safety policy and procedures.
Partnerships are to be distinguished from situations where LCM rooms/buildings are used by another organisation to deliver their own service which is covered by either a premises lease agreement or premises hiring agreement.
Health and Safety Arrangements and Responsibilities
LCM and the Church Partner are committed to upkeeping best practice standards for health and safety of staff, volunteers, and all persons attending or partaking in activities and events.
The relevant parties will keep an open line of communication regarding this topic and adjust commitments accordingly. Specific arrangements and responsibilities are detailed below:
