Theology for Urban Mission

Our cities are an exciting place for mission. Diversity and opportunity can be found on every street. Many of us are committed to cross-cultural ministry on our doorstep and have benefited greatly from the opportunities that discussing practice with others can bring. This conference, however, is a chance to step back from the "hows" of urban mission and to focus afresh on the "whys".
Conscious that academic theologians and those focused on mission on the ground need each other deeply, Union School of Theology and London City Mission are running this conference together to enable us all to look afresh at the theological imperatives that undergird our evangelism and encourage each other to persevere faithfully in our God-given calling. Rooted in Scripture and thoughtful about our settings, Theology for Urban Mission is a chance to revisit our shared foundations in ways that will spur us on to love and good works across our urban contexts.
