WEBBER STREET CARES FOR OVER 100 VULNERABLE HOMELESS MEN AND WOMEN WEEKLY WITH 80-90 PEOPLE VISITING DAILY.

The Webber Street Day Centre, LCM’s day centre for people experiencing homelessness, has been at the forefront of offering practical care and compassion with gospel hope for over 60 years..

Webber Street was last renovated in the 1990s, but between then and now, the number of people facing homelessness has drastically increased. It is estimated that 1 in 50 people in London now experience homelessness.

To meet this need, Webber Street urgently needs to improve its facilities, so it can keep offering the love, care and gospel hope to the thousands facing homelessness in London.

WHAT WEBBER STREET MEANS TO ITS GUESTS

Sally

“Webber Street is a caring place with helpful staff, a place I can come for any support I need. The staff are good at listening and give good Bible studies and talks.”

Terry

“Webber Street is a place I come for something to eat, as well as for showers and clothes. It is great to hear Bible talks everyday”

Sean

“Webber Street is a place I can come to for companionship and support, a place where I know I won’t be judged, and where I will be accepted. The staff make me feel wanted and cared for. “

“FOUR YEARS AGO, I WAS CHAOTIC AND LIVING OUTRAGEOUSLY ON THE STREETS. WEBBER STREET SAVED MY LIFE. NO DOUBT. NO QUESTION… EVERY MORNING, I AM THANKFUL THAT WHERE I AM IS GOD’S WORK. I WAS ON MY WAY TO DEATH, AND JESUS SAVED ME”. - Brian, former guest at Webber Street

HOW YOU CAN HELP

LCM desperately needs to refurbish both the Webber Street Day Centre and the Corner House, our short-term supported accommodation. We need your help to be able to offer the best care possible to our guests including a warmer, more welcoming space to host them, with hot showers and heating for our guests, improved access for those with limited mobility,  refreshed bedrooms for a safe and homely place for guests to stay and a safe space to hear the word of God

We need to raise over £800,000 to complete the project. Thanks to many generous supporters we have raised over £600,000, which has enabled us to start these vital works. We urgently need to raise the final £200,000 to be able to open before the winter season.

Thanks to the generous pledge from one of our supporters, all donations made before and on the evening will be matched, and your gift will have double the impact.
