We bring people together, towards Jesus
Throughout the Gospels, Jesus is keen to invite people towards himself, to consider who he is, and to become a part of his mission, become a part of the Kingdom of God.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”
Jesus’ words in Matthew 11:28-30 point us to the true message of Easter, Jesus’ death and resurrection, ushering in a new world where things simply wont be as they are now.
Turgay's story underlines the way in which our lives aren't always what they seem - and why London needs Jesus.
With all that’s going on in the news and in the world, LCM wants to ask a simple question, as part of our Easter fundraising campaign.
Ever since the Brexit referendum three years ago, our nation has become more polarised, more divided, more intolerant.
Our fractured society needs Jesus more than ever.
The good news is that you can help restore and heal communities by sharing the message of Jesus. In Newham, one of the most diverse parts of London, our team goes to different people and places every day to share the gospel. You can help them:
- Reach Muslims through bookstalls, discussion events and small groups
- Reach Eastern European communities through social evenings and English language classes
- Go door-to-door, meeting Bangladeshis, Indians and many others for gospel conversations
- Encourage local church volunteers to join in with gospel-sharing in the community
Choosing to love our neighbours like this can change lives.
We’ve seen people from all these communities come to faith in Christ.
Please, would you consider joining us as we help take the good news of Jesus to everyone who needs it, so our society can be healed and restored?
You can bring people together in love, and touch lives with the gospel. It’s just what London needs right now.
If you can't at this time, we'd always value your prayers - why not sign up for our Together Prayer Update, in print or online.
