London City Mission are strengthening the leadership of their ministries with the appointment of four new members to the team.
Reverend Tayo Arikawe and Caroline Millar will be joining the 182 year old mission over the summer as Director of Ministries and Church Development & Partnerships Director respectively. They follow Pamela Brown-Peterside, who joined in April as Field Director for West London, and Imtiaz Khan who became Field Director for East London in June, having been with the Mission for nearly 12 years.
I am thankful to God for bringing each of these talented and gifted people to London City Mission for this moment. They each bring with them a wealth of experience, both in mission and leadership, which will help us to serve our people, grow our ministries and partner with the diverse churches of London.
Graham Miller, Chief Executive of London City Mission
Tayo is an ordained minister, currently studying for a PhD in Biblical Studies. Originally from Nigeria, Tayo is passionate about seeing the development of more gospel driven multi-cultural and multi-ethnic churches, ministries and partnerships in the UK. He will join London City Mission from Grace Evangelistic Ministries Europe, where he has been the International Director for the past five years.
If the gospel takes root in London, the ripple effects will spill over to the whole of the United Kingdom and to other countries in Europe. London is a major hub for global mission. Almost all major ethnic groups in the world have some presence in London.
Caroline joins the Mission from All Souls, Langham Place, where she works as an Evangelism Assistant with Rico Tice and helps to disciple the 20s and 30s community. Caroline is well networked with church leaders across the city and is part of the Evangelical Alliance’s One People Commission Young Adult Ministry Forum.
I have a passion to see the whole church of London join together as one for this mission in reaching the least reached in our city. I want to build on the generosity of London City Mission, to help enable the church to work together for greater gospel impact.
Imtiaz moved to London from Pakistan in 2001 and has been with London City Mission since 2005, when he joined as a missionary based in Ilford. Most recently Imtiaz has been Team Leader for the Mission’s ministry in Newham, as well as managing and delivering London City Mission’s Muslim Engagement Training with churches across the city.
Pamela joined the Mission from New York, where she had been Managing Director of Community Groups for one of their congregations. As well as wanting the missionaries in West London to experience God’s love and joy as they share the good news of Jesus, Pamela has a desire to explore new ministry opportunities in areas in the west of the city.
