Please Pray

'Pray for us ... that God may open a door for our message, so that
we may proclaim the mystery of Christ.' (Colossians 4:3)

Thank you for your prayers on our behalf. We feel the benefit of that unseen company of God's people who help us by prayer:  We depend upon it. Pray that many in this needy city will be born again and shine as lights in a dark place.

Prayer Update – Wednesday 16 May 2012
Darren Dotson asks for prayer for a woman, J, who gave her life to the Lord last week. He asks for prayer as he seeks the most appropriate church for her. Pray too as they continue to study the Bible together.”

Darren also asks for prayer as he works to build good relationships with local churches. He helps one church by cooking breakfast for homeless people every Tuesday morning.

Café Eterno in Covent Garden is opening its doors to provide space for prayer during the Pentecost Festival next week.  There will be a dedicated prayer room open from 9am - 6pm, with quiet time for reflection between 10am and 1pm. London City Mission will be hosting prayer sessions from 2pm – 4pm each day.  Please pray that good numbers will attend and especially that this event will bring about many meaningful conversations with customers.

Last week we shared the news that retired missionary Len Lucas had passed away on 7 May. We now have details of the Thanksgiving Service, which will be held at Brixham Baptist Church this coming Thursday, 17 May, at 12.30pm. The address of the church is: Market Street, Brixham, TQ5 8EU. Please pray especially for Len’s wife Thelma, that she may know the comfort and presence of God especially at this time.

Well thank you for your prayers for LCM’s ministry and staff. We are very grateful for your support to the Mission in this way. God bless you.
