Please Pray

'Pray for us ... that God may open a door for our message, so that
we may proclaim the mystery of Christ.' (Colossians 4:3)

Thank you for your prayers on our behalf. We feel the benefit of that unseen company of God's people who help us by prayer:  We depend upon it. Pray that many in this needy city will be born again and shine as lights in a dark place.

Prayer News taken from the latest Prayer Update recording (10.03.10):

A number of staff at our Centres are off work sick at the moment, which is causing some disturbance to the weekly routines. Please pray for the teams as they struggle with understaffing; some of the activities have had to be cancelled and this can have an impact on relationships with their contacts when any regular meeting does not take place.

Angel Tiebas has been asked by St Mary's Hospital to join them this coming Saturday, 13 March to help in giving Bibles to staff and patients. The hospital has received a supply of Gideon Bibles and they would like to visit the wards to give these out. Angel is greatly encouraged by the fact that the vision came from the Christian Union and his role will be to support God's people as they seek to be salt and light, and ‘gossip the Gospel’.

The Outreach starts at 10:00 am on Saturday morning and finishes at 1.00 pm. Angel would value prayer that the event will go well and that bridges may be built.

The ‘A Passion for Life’ initiative is in full swing at the present time across many churches in the UK. Please pray for those missionaries who are involved in promoting and attending events with churches in their areas.

‘A Passion for Life’ provides many opportunities for missionaries to invite their contacts to special evangelistic events such as services with a guest speaker, concerts, meals with a message, etc. Pray too that many would come to know Jesus personally as a result.

Would you pray for the schools workers whose base in Morden is unusable at the moment due to a boiler problem. This situation creates challenges for the team as all their resources are based at the Schools Resource Centre there.

We end on some exciting news: We have heard that one of Ernie Heron’s contacts has just come to faith. Ernie has been in contact with this lady for many years and is absolutely thrilled with this development when he last visited her. You may remember that only last week we asked you to pray for Ernie and Valerie as they move into retirement. What a terrific climax to his ministry in Care Homes in South West London.

Let’s rejoice with Ernie and Valerie at this encouragement, and pray for this dear lady, that she may grow and develop in her new-found faith.

Thank you for your interest in our work and for your ongoing prayers for LCM’s ministry in London.
We greatly appreciate your support in this way. God bless you.
